Mixed media using Faber Castel Gel Sticks, acrylic paint, gesso, stamps, tissue paper, etc., on 9x12 water color paper.

The message:

"Remember the wonderful parts"

I started this to practice relaxing about "messy looking" backgrounds.

... I made myself stay away from pen outlines.  It was hard, but I'm glad I didn't give in.  I didn't like the pencil sketch of her face, but as I painted she changed and now I really like her.

I'm eager to practice some more.
